Command line parameters that are currently available are:

/f                Enabled keyboard filtering automatically at startup.

/b                Start-up in batch mode. (see Batch Mode for details)

/k <filename>                Loads a default keyboard on startup. The filename is the keyboard layout file without the .kbl. The filename parameter must follow the "/k" parameter. If the file does not exist or is not loaded (eg. it has errors) then the first keyboard in the selection list will be loaded.

/p                Start-up in batch mode. (see Batch Mode for details) as a plugin to BurnInTest.

eg. KeyboardTest /f /b /k AT107

Further information on running Keyboard from BurnInTest

When PassMark’s KeyboardTest is used as a BurnInTest v5.0 (or higher) Plugin, it tests in the Batch mode without collecting the manually entered information such as Keyboard Serial number. This mode allows automatic detection of all keys being successfully pressed, or of User failure with User selected reasons. The keyboard can be failed at any time during the test or on requested user verification. A reason from a list of failure reasons will also be logged in BurnInTest.

Version of Plugin required: PassMark KeyboardTest V2.2 1011 (or higher)

Test name within BurnInTest displays and reports: Keyboard.

Test information displayed in BurnInTest:.Status text, number of operations, errors and cycles, error text and severity.

Application field should be set to:

KeyboardTest.exe /p

  Where:

/p specifies KeyboardTest to run as a plugin,in a modifed batch mode

e.g.

C:\KeyboardTest\KeyboardTest.exe /p

Run as pre-test plugin, should be checked.

Notes:

1)        You should licence KeyboardTest so that the “Welcome” window is not displayed when the BurnInTest tests are started.
2)        You should set up a Keyboard configuration file and bitmap of your test keyboard before starting. Please refer to the KeyboardTest help file.
